MarketInvoice, one of the UK’s leading Fintechs, is looking for a Business Development Manager to broaden its customer base so more businesses can get the funding they need to grow.

You’ll report directly to Chris. He’s our Head of Business Development (North) who, if he’s not stomping the pavements looking for new business you might find mid-air riding his motocross bike.

Who you’ll be working with

You’ll be part of a talented team of high performers including Angus, Max, Dom, Charlie, Marina and Sam. Between them they’re responsible for all of MarketInvoice’s net new customer acquisition. When they’re not closing deals, you’ll find them dominating the rugby field, making fresh homemade pasta, winning table tennis tournaments or selling vintage apparel online.

Your new role

In this role you’ll help MarketInvoice scale by bringing on new customers sourced from a variety of new business channels. You’ll help theses customers get funding for growth, tailoring the right solution for their business.

What you’ll be doing

As a Senior Business Development Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to really move the needle for MarketInvoice by selling our solutions to a wide range of UK businesses sourced from a variety of new business channels. Our recent partnerships mean that MarketInvoice is entering a very exciting period of accelerated growth. You and your team will be driving this growth from the front line so you’ll need to be a commercial, high performing superstar to make it happen.

You’ll have a lot of autonomy and take full responsibility over how you spend your time, whether that’s building / developing your network of Partners, or closing on existing new business prospects in your pipeline. As a senior in the team you’ll gradually focus on more strategically important Partners, larger SMEs and enterprise customers. Your strong track record of selling subscription products in a B2B environment will be a great asset and your existing network with commercial finance introducers will allow you to acquire significant new business for MarketInvoice.

We’ll be excited to see your knack for developing relationships in action as you quickly build the trust of prospective customers. You’ll use your excellent listening skills to understand their needs and your commercial mindset to figure out how best to meet them. You’ll put your negotiation expertise to work, holding your own in front of demanding customers and using your great communication/presentation skills to frame MarketInvoice’s solutions in clear and in simple terms.

With competitor landscape and brand training from the outset, you’ll understand how MarketInvoice fits into the wider-ecosystem of SME and enterprise service providers and exactly why our USPs are important in today’s fast-changing business environment. You’ll be a valued member of your own and the wider MarketInvoice team, supporting key initiatives across the business.
