Business Development Manager

FutureLearn is one of the world’s leading learning platforms. We partner with the best universities and content specialists around the world to create free online courses across a broad range of subjects, which are available to anyone in the world with an internet connection.

FutureLearn has experienced exponential growth since its launch in 2013 and is now expanding its Business Development team. This is an incredibly exciting time to join a highly successful, innovative and entrepreneurial business. The purpose of this role is to identify and maximise commercial opportunities within the corporate sector.

We need talented and enthusiastic business development managers to join the team, based in London: people who have a hunger to make a substantial difference to a fast-growing educational technology business.

You will be expected to:

  • Drive B2B revenue to achieve FutureLearn’s ambitious growth through closing commercial deals
  • Proactively generating new business leads, as well as managing incoming sales enquiries
  • Maintaining client and industry relationships
  • Working to targets, you will be required to adopt a professional and knowledgeable approach to each new business call with an in-depth understanding of our services
  • Working with others on collaborative pitches and deal negotiations
  • Managing internal stakeholders to build and deliver on complex projects
  • Attending trade shows and events in order to foster relationships with existing clients and identify new prospects
  • Network and build relationships within target prospects in order to understand key decision makers.
