Mirador is seeking a sales hunter based in our Portland office to play a key part in our customer acquisition strategy. It is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to be at the cutting edge of digital transformation in banking and partnerships between FinTech and financial institutions. The Business Development Manager will identify large financial institution prospects that are ready to digitize their small business lending process, and participate in all aspects of the business development process including client needs discovery, product demonstrations, proposal writing, and contract negotiations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects of large small business lenders by sourcing, qualifying and nurturing leads - Be creative in navigating through target customer organizations to find relevant stakeholders and influencers
  • Qualify incoming leads generated by Mirador partners and marketing activities
  • Consult with prospects to uncover how Mirador can solve their business problems, and identify any existing projects Mirador can enhance
  • Schedule and perform product demonstrations through remote screen sharing
  • Understand and communicate high level technical aspects of the Mirador product and engage subject matter experts when appropriate
  • Accurately forecast and track leads & activities (calls, emails, meetings) using Salesforce.com CRM
  • Prepare and present pricing proposals based upon current approved pricing models


  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, science, or related discipline; Associate’s Degree and related experience also considered
  • At least five years’ experience in sales or business development, preferably to large financial institutions
  • Ability to influence and persuade to achieve desired outcomes
  • Strong problem solving, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
