Role Summary:

We are excited to be opening up the role of Business Development Consultant at Researcher. We’re looking for someone to join the team to help us develop business to business products and take them to market, leveraging our successful direct to consumer RESEARCHER apps and website.

You will be the first dedicated business development person in a small and dynamic team; we expect the team to expand around you as our offering grows.

We’re looking for a flexible, active and curious person to contribute to the very start of our business to business operation. You can expect to:

  • Contribute to the business’s B2B product strategy and go to market strategy
  • Generate and attend meetings with prospective clients in pharmaceuticals, education institutions and biotech, discuss their requirements and analyse their feedback on our propositions
  • Build sales models, prepare proposals for marketing campaigns and promotional activities and carry some of them out yourself
  • Keeps up to date with competing products and businesses in the edtech sector

The position reports to the CEO.

What we are looking for:

  • Highly motivated and flexible candidates with a strong academic record
  • Experience in a business development or consultancy capacity are advantageous but not essential
  • You must be happy and confident to be put in front of prospective clients
  • We are an early stage business; it’s vital that you are excited by the idea of learning on the job, that you take a high degree of personal responsibility for your work, and that you don’t mind failing and learning from your mistakes.
