ServiceNow Engineer

Your Role on Our Team

  • Provide daily support of Service Management platform, (currently ServiceNow) including: incident management and demand management administration
  • Coordinate and implement requirements using Workflow, Java Script, HTML, XML, and other ServiceNow Content Management configuration options
  • Develop and manage the preparation of systems and/or program application specifications, test criteria and project control for new ServiceNow functionality, enhancements or incidents error correction for ServiceNow
  • Deploy, integrate, update, customize and administer the ServiceNow platform to meet client needs
  • Assume accountability for development and testing deadlines
  • Implement initial user roles and maintain them for ServiceNow
  • Comply with systems development standards, procedures, guidelines, priorities, and schedules
  • Develop and manage operational and reporting metrics for ServiceNow and related components of the ITSM platform
  • Develop and manage the preparation of systems and/or program specifications, test criteria and project control for new functionality, enhancements or error correction for ServiceNow
  • Develop and coordinate the installation of upgrades and/or service packs, testing of such upgrades and general maintenance of ServiceNow
  • Work with Leadership and Service Managers to determine ServiceNow system objectives and solutions
  • Research systems and/or programs to determine causes of failure or poor operational performance; then define, test and implement detailed solutions
  • Interact with process and application owners to ensure that requirements are being satisfied


What You Bring to Our Team

  • 2+ years of experience in administration and development of ServiceNow in enterprise environments or 2+ years of related programming and web development experience, process and UX design
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Well-versed in front-end programming languages: JavaScript, Bootstrap, and AngularJS
  • Certified System Admin certification, required
  • Certified Implementation Specialist certification, preferred
  • ITIL v3 Foundation certification and knowledge of IT best practices
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements throughout the development lifecycle, and work with a variety of personalities and styles
  • Willingness to collaborate with development team members while creating and building solutions
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, and relational databases
  • Demonstration of technical understanding of ServiceNow service management operations suite, how it interfaces with other ITIL Processes, IT operations, and, business functions
  • Ability to work directly with customers for to gather requirements, architect solutions, provide training, and complete development and architecture
  • Technically savvy and able to build applications that meet customer needs
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Motivated self-starter
