As a Mapping and Localization Engineer you will develop sensor-aided navigation software that estimates the vehicle ego state parameters and sensor calibration. 

What you’ll do:

  • Develop SLAM and probabilistic filtering techniques, with an emphasis on 3D reconstruction using LIDAR and/or Cameras
  • Implement your code to run in real time on our vehicles
  • Design and implement automatic sensor calibration methods
  • Work with real-world datasets

What we need:

  • Knowledge of state-of-the-art mapping and localization algorithms
  • Excellent C++ and/or Python development ability
  • Knowledge with sensor measurements such as inertial measurement unit, GPS, camera, LIDAR, and RADAR
  • Ability to develop solutions to complex and advanced technical problems
  • Minimum of one year of industry work experience

What you accomplished:

  • M.S. or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field
