The Ranker technology stack consists of custom CMS framework built on Spring MVC running inside Tomcat. Leveraging data sets of millions of entities, we aggregate linked data graphs into Ranker to expose them to our user base for our list building platform. Large scale data processing and Ranker go hand in hand as we continue to target structured data sets of value to augment our existing knowledge base. The Ranker engineering team is responsible for building and maintaining the high trafficked site, a distributed app and most importantly large scale data aggregation.

Role / Responsibilities

  •  Mentored by the CTO and Senior Development Team
  • Design, implement and test web-based Spring Applications to support business requirements
  • Participate in bi weekly engineering meetings with our remote team
  • Resolve technical issues through debugging, research and investigation as well as look for ways to improve the application
  • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills to explain and document ideas
  • Comfortable reading API documentation for 3rd Party Libraries
  • BS in Computer Science (or near completion)

 Salary commensurate with experience. Fully paid medical benefits and stock equity are also part of the package. This is an in-office position (we’re located at Wilshire and La Cienega), though there is the potential for occasional telecommuting once you are up and running.
