Spotify is looking for a Business Marketing Manager to join our Shibuya office in Tokyo, Japan. You will be an expert in creating compelling narratives and marketing materials, engaging with agencies through events and programs, and working with the advertising community to maintain our position as thought leaders in the Japanese market. You will be reporting to the Head of Business Marketing, APAC. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences music.

What you’ll do

• Develop and maintain persuasive sales tools and programs that align with the business marketing strategy to engage the advertising community
• Ensure sales narratives are consistent with the global story but are adapted to be locally relevant
• Work with sales teams to ensure understanding of sales narratives and collect feedback on how to improve the story
• Identify research and data essential to telling our Spotify story and deliver packaged insights that are educational and compelling to our clients
• Leverage existing event frameworks being used in other markets, develop and manage events that educate, inspire, and create evangelists within brands and agencies
• Support any trade PR in conjunction with the PR team
• Identify key trade organizations to partner with and act as Spotify’s liaison
• Manage communications through social media (LinkedIn, Twitter) to maximize the impact of Business Marketing initiatives
• Ensure the monitoring and communication of industry trends and provide market expertise to further build the sales narrative
• Help manage all elements of Spotify For Brands and merchandise for business marketing needs

Who you are

• You have a BA or an equivalent degree
• You are a native Japanese speaker and fluent in both Japanese/English
• You have 4-6 years of experience in the digital media environment, in a similar B2B marketing role
• You know how to work both autonomously, as part of a small nimble team, and cross-functionally with different departments both locally and internationally • Solid knowledge of the digital advertising industry with a strong professional network of media, marketing and brand advertising professionals
• You have the ability to mix creativity with strategic thinking, and demonstrate strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Keynote / Powerpoint /Excel proficiency mandatory
• Adobe Design Suite/Photoshop knowledge a plus
