  • have 3 plus years experience Scala
  • have experience building web applications with Python (Django/ Flask) or Java (a big plus)
  • have experience building high-availability, high-performance, scalable websites or web applications
  • have knowledge of modern web frameworks, including mobile-first, responsive design frameworks and third-party APIs
  • embrace functional programming
  • have worked on an Agile team
  • have work that can be found in public repos on Github
  • know the difference between unit and functional testing and QA, and you know what stubs and mocks are
  • are fearless about acquiring new skills
