Title of Job: Vice President, Technical Marketing

As we scale Okta globally and expand to multiple products and new buyers, the technical marketing team plays a critical and strategic role in enabling that growth. The core mission of technical marketing at Okta revolves around technical field enablement, deep competitive intelligence, solution level technical content, and helping all technical field facing roles effectively communicate the differentiated value of the okta family of products.
The technical marketing team sits within the larger Products organization at Okta which includes product management, product marketing, technical marketing, and user experience. This provides for a very well rounded, rich technical marketing experience that is closely connected to customers, product and the field.
The technical marketing team provides technical leadership across our key product areas and is the master of “okta in the wild” – possessing a unique perspective on what it takes to sell our product and how customers are really using the portfolio of products to solve real business problems. Technical marketing is responsible for several core deliverables including SE and technical field enablement, world class technical and solution level content that spans our portfolio of products, deep competitive analysis and technical enablement related to that analysis to help SEs differentiate our product. Technical marketing also leads the charge in understanding and articulating the key technical use cases and soutions for the Okta service across products and buyers and develops technical enablement materials and training around those use cases to drive repeatable technical selling globally.
