Sr. Marketing Manager, Packaging 

Blue Apron is looking for a Senior Marketing Manager, Packaging to develop and manage our physical in-box product experience. This role will report into the Director of Loyalty & Engagement but partner closely with our sourcing teams to define and maintain a flexible branding strategy that can accommodate our ever changing line of ingredients.

We are looking for a seasoned marketing professional with deep expertise in branding physical experiences. This role requires a process oriented, strategic mindset with a keen eye for detail and design. Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and lead an actionable strategy for brand mix in-box (i.e., mix of Blue Apron branded products vs. partner branded products vs. co-branded products)
  • Act as strategic lead, partnering with our creative team to develop new brands and oversee co-branding opportunities
  • Collaborate with the content team to develop and execute a strategy for on-package messaging
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to be a market leader in sustainability messaging
  • Act as marketing lead on day to day packaging decisions including material and film selection
  • Serve as liaison with the sourcing and operations teams to bring new products to market
  • Leverage customer insights to deliver a highly engaging in-box customer experience week over week 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a top school with strong academic performance
  • 7-10 years brand management, packaging, and/or marketing experience
  • Comfort making quick decisions and trade-offs with limited information
  • Strong organizational skills, with success driving multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously
  • Passion for translating brand and customer insights into innovative and engaging physical experiences
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively
  • A self-starter with an ability to excel in a dynamic, ever-changing environment and to switch gears as required
  • Naturally curious; you’re inspired by the road less traveled and finding creative solutions that others haven’t considered
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
