Company Secretary/Legal Executive/Paralegal

We are looking for a pro-active and resourceful Company Secretary, Corporate Legal Executive, or Paralegal to join our team . This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in the development of a new internal function and process that will support our ever growing community of entrepreneurs.

What you will be doing:

Reporting into our General Counsel, you will be responsible for managing the statutory filings and corporate documentation required by companies raising funding on Crowdcube and filing SEIS and EIS returns. This will include building relationships with entrepreneurs and managing general company secretarial matters such as drafting company Articles of Association; and issuing share certificates.

The role will be varied and you will be:

  • Responsible for creating a process to efficiently manage SEIS and EIS filing and ongoing management of that process.
  • Working with the investment, completions and legal teams to complete fund raising rounds on Crowdcube as efficiently and effectively as possible.
  • Pro-actively involved in developing internal processes and ensuring we are compliant with the Companies Act 2006.
  • Providing company secretarial support to Crowdcube's General Counsel.
  • Preparing reports and delivering regular updates on the status of work.
  • Take ownership of key client relationships.
  • Thoroughness: you set up processes and checks to make sure work is accurate and complete, that there aren't any mistakes, that you haven't missed anything.
  • Communication: you have excellent written and oral communication skills; you are persuasive but you are also a good listener and show empathy.
