LinkedIn's Associate Product Manager Internship program is a small, selective  program that develops soon-to-be college graduates into world-class Product Managers. From day one, LinkedIn APM interns are treated like experienced PMs and given ownership and responsibility of impactful projects, while still receiving mentorship and guidance from some of the best product leaders and entrepreneurs in the industry. As an APM intern at LinkedIn, you will partner with a team of engineers, designers, product marketers, and others to execute and launch your roadmap. Company leadership interacts frequently with APMs interns as part of their training program and organized events.

Because of the unparalleled level of responsibility granted to LinkedIn APM interns, we seek candidates with a track record of entrepreneurship or leadership experience, in addition to technical and product expertise. This position is based in our office(s) within the Bay Area.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand and lead the analysis of the competitive environment, customers, and product metrics to determine the right feature set to drive engagement and usage on LinkedIn
  • Drive global product requirements definition, product planning and product design (including writing PRDs) of new product features and enhancements
  • Work with the product development team and other cross-functional team members to bring features live to the site
  • Clearly communicate product benefits to our users and internal stakeholders

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • You must be currently enrolled in a college, university, or bootcamp program and must be returning to school the term following your summer internship
  • One of the three qualifications below:
    • Entrepreneurship: Created a company or product (e.g. app)
    • Leadership: Founded/ lead a group or earned a major scholarship
    • Product experience: Product management internship or fellowship with a venture capital or entrepreneurial organization

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS/BA or MS/MA in process in Computer Science or related field of study
  • At least two of qualifications below:
    • Entrepreneurship: Created a company or product (e.g. app)
    • Leadership: Founded/ lead a group or earned a major scholarship
    • Product experience: Product management internship or fellowship with a venture capital or entrepreneurial organization
    • Internship in product management, software engineering, or role building a web-based application.
