The Domains Platform team is a highly productive group with a focus on quality, innovation, and ownership of GoDaddy's domains platform.  We work in an agile environment that has been adapted to suit our needs, and we are a fast-paced team who believes in constant iterations and owning code quality end-to-end.  We learn from the best by combining new open source technologies and platforms with tried-and-true ones to achieve our high-impact goal of building a world-class platform and experience for our customers and partners.

We’re building highly scalable REST-based services using a myriad of modern distributed technologies such as Akka, RabbitMQ, OpenStack, Cassandra, Hadoop and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Build globally distributed services to provide domains management across multiple countries
  • Deliver resilient and redundant services to maintain high availability
  • Adopt agile methodologies to continuously release and deploy iterations of our services
  • Manage a team of 4-7 high performing software developers
  • Collaborate with Product Management to own the roadmap and vision for the team

Requirements:

  • Highly motivated and highly collaborative
  • 7+ years of industry experience building and shipping software in an OOD language; experience in multiple languages preferred
  • Experience designing and architecting scalable REST and cloud services
  • Passion to develop elegant and pragmatic solutions to solve real-world business scenarios
  • Strong desire to learn and grow
  • People management experience
