Where You Fit In

You’re a strategic thinker, empathetic leader, and natural mentor who will oversee People Operations at Fueled and offer a key voice and perspective to company personnel decisions. Your primary focus will be to build and maintain a strong underlying talent infrastructure as we scale, focused on setting strategy and defining an exceptional employee experience. You will ensure that decisions, programs, and processes are embedded with Fueled’s values.  You will foster a workplace of continuous feedback, driving a healthy culture of learning and accountability. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities to streamline company growth, engineering programs for employee development, and maintaining and maturing our already robust culture.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Fueled’s recruiting efforts and hiring plan; work with recruiters, both internal and external, to ensure we reach our hiring goals; coordinate between the recruiting teams and hiring managers, ensuring seamless communication and transparency throughout
  • Oversee Fueled employee onboarding, orientation, and training, including completing background checks, preparing offer letters, negotiating salary, coordinating visa efforts as needed, and preparing new employees for their first day of work
  • Participate in strategic efforts around company growth and employee performance, and drive organizational excellence across all departments
  • Manage employee relations, including counseling team members on issues ranging from problems with co-workers or management. Monitor discussions to identify trends and call attention to any areas of concern
  • Maintain Fueled’s employee handbook of policies and procedures, keeping it up to date and in compliance with applicable regulations and industry best practices
  • Ensure all activities are in compliance with applicable federal, state and local employment-related regulations
  • Assist with general questions regarding policies and procedures, and other areas related to Human Resources
  • Conduct exit interviews with terminating team members
  • Conduct compensation benchmarking studies across our global offices
  • Complete/submit new hire/promotion/salary increase/termination paperwork to Payroll for processing
  • Identify professional growth opportunities (events, conferences, etc) for employees and facilitate participation
  • Recommend and implement procedures to improve quality and efficiency in HR department best practices
  • Coordinate company-wide assessment surveys


  • You have 3-5 years of experience in an Operations capacity at small-to-medium sized start-up
  • You’re an active listener and an effective mediator with a high degree of emotional intelligence
  • You’re a people person who easily builds relationships and establishes trust
  • You have strong command of HR best practices and industry trends
