Finance Project Administrator

Intersection is seeking a Finance Project Administrator to join our Finance team.  If you are beginning your field in Finance/Accounting and describe yourself as extremely organized, system oriented, someone who loves details, this is the job for you. You'll learn more about finance and the inner workings of a business. You take pride in the quality and quantity of work you do each day, knowing that it contributes to the success of the whole system that's built on it. Our environment is fast-paced and you will receive multiple projects at a time. You'll work with the entire Finance team, and support timely and accurate financial processes and presentation of our financial records through administration and data entry. Time management and organization will be essential.

 Responsibilities:

  • Support Intersection's Accounting and Procurement teams
  • Set up the expense accounting system
  • Support the finance/accounting team with reconciliations, expense report processing and other administrative tasks
  • Proactively make sure that internal finance related projects are moving forward; that communication lines are open; and that no assignments slip through the cracks
  • Client expense and travel billing
  • Review employee expense reports 
  • Lend administrative support to broader finance team as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business (Accounting, Finance or Economics) is preferred
  • 6 months related experience (internships, etc.) with a basic understanding of accounting
  • Proficient in MS Office, highly skilled in Excel spreadsheets and Google Apps Extremely comfortable working with web-based technology
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong project management skills Strong work ethic and desire to be part of a hard-working, highly engaged and highly accountable team
  • Exceptional attention to detail and highly organized Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (which include: flexibility and humor) Knowledge of SalesForce/FinancialForce a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Grasp complex concepts and systems quickly Be responsible, resourceful, and proactive (working independently)
  • Prioritize under pressure, multitask effectively, and meet deadlines Compensation includes salary and benefits and there is ample opportunity for increased responsibility as time goes on
