Research Coordinator

BuzzFeed is seeking an enthusiastic and intellectually curious Research Coordinator. This position will be responsible for gathering, verifying, and reporting on key marketing metrics and KPIs. The Research coordinator will also be a vital part of generating and delivering campaign and vertical insights for top brands. If you’re the type of person interested in making sense of numbers and growing into a Marketing Analytics rock star then this position might just be your “OMG”!

Responsibilities:

  • Collect, sanity check, and clean data
  • Execute top-line reports on BuzzFeed's audience
  • Provide summaries of key findings and trends to stakeholders
  • Run ad hoc reports drilling further into trends and testing hypotheses
  • Work closely with both client services and creative services to craft insightful, data-driven findings
  • Monitor data accuracy and work with the Data Science team to QA any issues
  • Become an expert on social media measurement and shareable content

Need to Haves:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing, statistics, financial analysis, computer science, or economics.
  • Solid knowledge of marketing, including familiarity with basic statistical analyses
  • Intermediate skills with MS office
  • A strong understanding of, and enthusiasm for, the social media landscape
  • An eye for data accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral, written presentation skills
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn
Nice to Haves:
  • Six months+ experience in data and analytics (applicants who are recent college graduates are encouraged to apply!)
  • Experience with Business Intelligence/Reporting tools (Tableau, Business Objects etc)
  • A fascination with the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and Financial Services industries
  • A love of data that your friends don’t understand (don’t worry, we do!)
