QE Software Engineer

Design and develop tools used internally by Zynga QA teams to aid in day to day activities and improve overall test automation platforms and other performance. Responsible for technical design, maintenance, and improvement of functions of Zynga’s internal application with special focus on the design of new features. Work with project teams to define project schedules and deliver project functions. Work closely with game studios to tailor the tools to meet specific needs of internal users. Build, package, and deploy shared code across multiple environments. Schedule jobs, manage test runs, store results, while offering graphic aids for data visualization. Troubleshoot and provide resolutions for difficult technical issues.

Create and maintain automation test frameworks for SDK and mobile game testing
Promote engineering best practices that support robust test automation
Mentor manual testers on how to create good automated tests
Architect solutions for collecting and reporting on data from many disparate sources
Create reports and dashboards to help studio leaders quickly understand the health of their game

BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and two years of experience building platforms to run automation software tests
3+ years of professional experience programming in C# (preferred), C++, or Java
Deep understanding of database and API design
Experience programming and testing multithreaded and distributed applications
Experience with mobile application development
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of the challenges in testing games, especially through automation, is a plus
Experience with Unity, particularly the Unity Test Tools, is highly desired
