Sr. IT Support Engineer
Position Description: The Okta IT Team is looking for a Sr. IT Support Engineer to provide support to our internal users and be an internal escalation resource for the IT Team. This position will be our first UK based IT hire and will support our UK and European Staff with the support of the US based office. The ideal candidate will be considered Okta IT’s point of escalation support and will be expected to solve escalated issues and lead selected projects. The Sr. IT Support Engineer will own and manage internal IT administrative tools, maintain and improve department documentation, enforce our policies & procedures regarding the proper use of our internal systems. The candidate will work with the IT Manager on department and organization wide projects to help further the development of Okta’s products and features.
A successful Sr. IT Support Engineer must have a thorough knowledge of Okta as well as all common internet applications, hardware, cell phones, networks and operating systems. The ideal candidate will also have great attention to detail and will be comfortable working in a fast paced, interrupt driven environment. The candidate will also need to be comfortable working as the sole point of contact for all UK and European IT related issues in an office environment. As our UK team expands, this role will grow into managing the UK based IT Team, its development and advancement. This role primarily deals with cloud services; the ideal candidate will be expected to operate and troubleshoot with this in mind.

Job Duties and Responsibilities ==
Escalated O365 issues
Working with our Microsoft TAM and other vendor contacts
Beta testing Okta features and new products
Projects (department and Org wide)
Purchasing and vendor management
Application support for high security systems
O365 Administration (cloud-based, no AD), including Powershell tasks
On Call rotation/Pager Duty
AudioVisual, All Hands Maintenance and Support
Part of P0 response
All IT support engineers are expected to view Okta with an eye for improving the product
Minimum REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be a self-starter with the ability to take general project requirements and execute on them.
Excellent written communication skills. Must love to write clear and concise documentation to later be handed off to the IT Support group.
Proven desire to take ownership of projects and follow through to completion.
Experience with a wide set of SaaS products such as: Office 365, Google Apps, Atlassian, SalesForce, Concur, Workday, GoToMeeting and ZenDesk.
Basic ability to write in interpreted languages (ex: Powershell).
Experience in a corporate or enterprise level environment.
Experience administering heterogeneous networks of OSX, Windows and Linux.
Experience working and coordinating with a distributed team and adept at working in an interrupt-driven environment.
Bonus: Experience in any of the following: Palo Alto, Meraki, Casper Suite, Okta, Windows fleet management, Network security
