The Account Director, Media Sales (Financial Services) will play a critical role in developing strategic sales plans and generating revenue from the financial services industry to help support the company’s triple digit growth rate.  As a part of executing company targeted ad campaigns, the Account Director will assume leadership responsibility in driving sales progress, building consensus with complex accounts and producing results on a quarterly basis.

 

Responsibilities

  • Identify and manage selling activities for key advertising accounts in the financial services industry delivering subscription revenue against monthly, quarterly and annual targets
  • Understand your customer’s marketing and advertising strategies to develop the highest impact plan for adopting Demandbase’s company targeted ad technology
  • Accurately project and report on advertising revenue
  • Act as B2B advertising and financial services expert both for clients and Demandbase internally
  • Consult with advertisers on campaign planning and proactively provide advertisers with campaign updates and reporting
  • Contribute insight internally to help continually improve Demandbase’s advertising offerings
  • Develop a consistent schedule of in-person meetings with key clients
  • Collaborate with Demandbase’s Business Development and Marketing teams to identify prospective clients
  • Utilize established relationships to bring new opportunities to Demandbase

 

Qualifications/Experience

  • 7+ years sales experience consistently over achieving quota
  • 3+ years experience selling digital advertising to B2B clients, financial services vertical preferred.
  • Strategic Thinking: Systematically solves problems and hypothesizes possible pain points and implicit needs
  • Communication: Tailors communication to the customer’s needs with confidence; effectively delivers  “memorable” presentations leveraging storytelling skills
  • Networking: Identifies the right customer stakeholders and builds connections quickly to drive consensus for deals; works cooperatively with internal team for deal success
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field required
