We’re seeking a whip-smart, creative, aggressive, and seasoned content manager pro with a passion for creating engaging content for millennial creative entrepreneurs in the events industry. You’re a storyteller, a creative problem solver, and you ooze words! You know how to spark a conversation and sell anything with your words - even a pencil.

The Content Marketing Manager drives member acquisition and conversion through the creation, development, optimization, and ownership of key HoneyBook and Wedding Spot marketing properties, including the blogs, website landing pages, advertising campaigns, and email outreach. As our content guru for HoneyBook, s/he will own the editorial calendar, develop content for owned and earned properties, and work closely with marketing colleagues and third party contributors to improve the lives of our customers through education.

Here are a few of the things you’ll do:

  • Own the editorial strategy and calendar for blog, newsletters and develop content for use across HoneyBook and 3rd parties, optimizing for SEO and conversion.
  • Partner with Designers and Developers to create show stopping marketing collateral, including copy for landing pages, advertisements, and emails.
  • Relentlessly A/B test and experiment.
  • Be the voice of HoneyBook!

Here’s what you'll need to be successful:

  • BA/BS in English, Writing, Marketing or related fields.
  • 5-7 years relevant experience; with at least 3-4 years of proven blog, advertisement, website, SEO and/or diversified online marketing experience with a marketing-driven organization. Minimum of 2 years’ experience at fast growing start-up.
  • A crisp portfolio of assets and campaigns and experience working with inside creative resources or agencies.
  • A natural and trained storyteller able to think strategically about content as well as conceive and write great stories and persuasive copy.
  • An aggressive marketer with a history of pushing boundaries, failing, problem solving, and never being content with the status quo.
  • Strong collaboration and influence skills; experience working and supervising agencies, lettershops, research firms, and with cross functional teams.
  • Entrepreneurial, high energy, positive and flexible - ability to multi-task, prioritize, roll up sleeves and jump in. No stuffed shirts; thrives in a fun, small-company environment.
