Engineering Manager

Duties: Perform network and computer systems administration, test automation, and tooling for web and computer networking platforms. Design, develop and configure real-time networking system involving L2 and L3 networking protocols. Build large scale automated test infrastructure using virtualization tools like vmware, virtualbox, openVZ. Perform application development and quality engineering, build test strategy, test plans and defect reporting pipeline process for internal and external products. Develop quality metrics and standards and implement best practice of automated test driven development (ATDD). Perform Linux and Windows system administration and configuration. 10% domestic travel required for conferences, seminars and meetings with customers.

 

Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering (any field) or a directly related field plus two (2) years of real-time computer networking experience, dealing with TCP/IP, Network Congestion, Packet Analysis, DNS, DHCP, Routers and Switches. Experience must include some amount of:

 

  • Demonstrated experience with Ruby and Python scripting languages
  • Hands-on experience in automation engineering dealing with VMWare, ESXi and Open VZ virtualization
  • Advanced understanding of computer networking concepts including real time ethernet based networking, wireless security, and wired and wireless networks’ quality of service
  • Demonstrated experience building test harnesses that can simulate real-time networks.
  • Demonstrated experience designing large scale automation test frameworks using open source tools and building test services continuously increasing the test coverage

 

40 hours/week. 9am-5pm.
