About This Role

ShopKeep is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to help us deliver the highest quality mobile point of sale solutions in the industry.  As a senior member of the QA and Engineering teams, you will surface and analyze data from our test and software development processes, offering tangible improvements to the merchant experience and solutions for our toughest quality challenges.  You will work with our dedicated in-house team to deliver end-to-end testing solutions for our apps and identify opportunities for improved testing capabilities through constant engagement with our cross-functional product development teams.

The right candidate is data and feedback driven and prepared to constructively build upon our existing team to deliver rapid, efficient support for defects that detract from the store experience our merchants depend on each day.  Join us in our mission to make ShopKeep’s software so reliable and simple to use and test that every major release is a feels-good event.


Establish metrics for managing overall quality.  More importantly, implement solutions to increase the quality of our products over time

Lead teams of manual and automation testers who are working against a full backlog of features and upcoming software releases

Become an expert in support processes.  Establish a team of adherents to your strategy among the engineering, customer care, and product teams and harness their strengths to accomplish the QA team’s goals.

Facilitate planning and alignment across our core roadmapping, resource and release planning activities.  Become a voice of reason who steers our roadmap towards clear and attainable accomplishments.

Foster a constant feedback loop between QA team members and business leaders.  Keep your team prepared to meet the demands of a constantly evolving roadmap.  Help the QA team accomplish technical milestones as well as personal growth.

Work with engineers to investigate critical software defects and design long-term prevention strategies.  Contribute to architecture, instrumentation, & performance decisions.


A solid understanding of software testing fundamentals

2-5+ years of experience managing automation and manual test teams in an Agile environment.

Prior professional experience with process optimization and program/project management

Experience with designing high performance test frameworks, including mobile app testing

Proficiency working in a Linux/Unix environment

Experience with agile development and testing methodologies, especially Scrum

Experience with Test Driven Development.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Experience with Git/GitHub

Desirable Experience

Degree in Computer Science, or other relevant technical discipline with demonstrable equivalent experience

Experience with large applications and complex test scenarios

Experience working with customer support and related teams in a high-volume environment preferred, but not required
