POSITION DESCRIPTION

As the Business Development Representative (Contractor), you will be responsible for creating, prioritizing, and qualifying lists of individual experts with the potential of bringing new courses in Spanish to Udemy ­­ courses that will make a difference from a quality, revenue contribution and new student acquisition perspective!

We are looking for a highly motivated, driven and self­starting individual with a passion for online education to be the first point of contact with potential new instructors. You will generate and qualify new instructor leads before passing them to a Content Business Development Manager (CBDM), responsible for getting those qualified leads to commit to creating and promoting their courses on Udemy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate new business opportunities to fuel Udemy's content acquisition efforts and potential instructor pipeline by creating, prioritizing, and qualifying strategic target account lists within the Spanish­language market.
  • Work closely with the Spanish Market Manager and the Content Business Development Manager to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging to drive opportunities for new business.
  • Research and build new and existing accounts (i.e. adding contacts, sending regular emails, strategic appointment setting).
  • Initiate the conversation with new instructor leads about the potential of teaching on Udemy.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in sales doing regular cold­calling and email outreach.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills in Spanish and English.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce and sales prospecting tools.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment.
  • Passion for technology and online education.
  • High energy and positive attitude.

Work and Compensation

Udemy is based in San Francisco, but the work of this contract position will be done remotely in Mexico. However, we’d still love for you to embrace our mission, culture, philosophies, and team.
