As the eSports provider for over 3,000 game studios, Skillz enables any mobile game to be turned into a competitive eSport that can also be broadcast on major streaming sites like Twitch and YouTube. We do this by integrating our unique layer of code directly into the mobile app, which activates our end-to-end tournament administration and other important features like player matching, anti-cheating mechanisms, customer support and a built-in loyalty program. Skillz accounts for more than 30% of eSports prizes, and we’ve already hosted more than 100 million tournaments for 10 million players in over 180 countries.

What We’re Looking For:

Do you pride yourself in knowing the latest technologies and how you can get the most value from them? Do you continually find yourself explaining complex products and features into simple terms average folks can understand? Do you have a talent for creating crisp marketing messages that immediately convey product value? If you lie awake at night thinking about how to package products in a way that people will love...then this role may be for you!

As the Product Marketing Manager, you will drive communication and adoption of new product features to a wide variety of stakeholders both internally and externally.

You will be the first in this role with the ability to build a team underneath you as Skillz continues to grow.

What You’ll Do:

  • Get involved in the early development of product and come up with innovative ways of communicating value to developers and players of Skillz games.
  • Own the creation of value propositions, content and go-to-market strategies.
  • Come up with marketing plans to drive adoption of products and features.
  • Work closely with developers to understand and break down key features in a crisp way that customers (both developers and players) can clearly spot value.
  • Collaborate closely with product, PR and growth teams to develop meaningful content strategy.

Your Skillz:

  • 3+ years of experience in fields including: product marketing, product management, sales enablement or program management
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, marketing or related field
  • Ability to move swiftly between high level strategy to low level execution
  • Proven track record in developing compelling product positioning and illustrating simple product utility
  • Demonstrated quick action and ability to act independently
  • Deep knowledge of marketing channels and effective methods for communicating
  • Superior written and oral communication
  • A strong leader that is able to unify complex networks of empowered groups
