Position Overview:

In this position you will report directly to the CEO & Co-Founder of Rent the Runway, providing support in all day-to-day needs. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to deal with a diverse group of important executives internally and externally, acting as a key representative of the Rent the Runway brand.  You are the right fit for this position if you have experience planning, organizing, problem solving and are extremely enthusiastic and proactive. Additionally, excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask are required. To be successful in this role, you must be able to independently work under pressure and deal with competing demands.


  • Provide administrative and personal support to CEO
  • Manage all aspects of CEO’s calendar and schedule including: conference calls, appointments, meetings, travel, transportation, etc.
  • Create and implement a follow up system on all outstanding scheduling and miscellaneous issues
  • Act as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies, including high-level executives (i.e. work with PR team to manage schedule of appointments and appearances)
  • Understand CEO's priorities and act accordingly, awareness of which calls need to be taken, which meetings cannot be moved, etc.
  • Support communication needs as necessary, drafting oral and written communication and delivering on behalf of the CEO; produce general correspondence/scan information as requested
  • Receive and distribute presentations/materials for meetings/conference calls for CEO as well as executive team & board
  • Handle business and personal finances, including reconciling the AMEX account and creating/submitting expense reports
  • Coordinate catering for exec, board & company meetings/occasional larger scale RTR events + lunch for executives on a daily basis
  • Work independently and within the EA/RTR team on special and ongoing projects when necessary (i.e. luncheons, external and RTR Board meetings, retreats, business dinners, etc.)                                           


  • Bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years of prior administrative experience
  • Relevant work experience in a startup, fashion and/or technology company preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills & the ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization including, senior executives, board members, etc.
  • Proficiency in: word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (Outlook, Word, Gmail, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Extreme attention to detail in composing, typing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and demonstrate ability to juggle multiple completing tasks and demands
  • Must be forward thinking and constantly one step ahead
  • Must be able to appropriate handle confidential information and use best judgment for sharing information
