Senior Sales Operations Analyst

MongoDB is the fastest-growing database on the planet, and the MongoDB community is transforming industries with incredibly innovative applications.  To help fuel and manage this growth, we are building a world-class Sales Operations team in New York City and Palo Alto, and are looking for a Senior Sales Operations Analyst to set priorities, lead operational improvement projects, identify areas of improvement and help our executives make data-driven decisions.

MongoDB is seeking a highly quantitative, driven, detail oriented and creative Senior Sales Operations Analyst, reporting directly to our VP of Sales Operations.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about software and technology, intellectually curious, a fast learner, and able to move fast while keeping focused on high impact projects.

This is a full-time position located in our New York City or Palo Alto, CA offices.

The Senior Sales Operations Analyst will be responsible for the analytical aspects of key business decisions, including go-to-market strategies, resource allocation, process improvement, metrics and dashboards.  

The Senior Sales Operations Analyst  is expected to make significant contributions to the success of MongoDB by enabling executives and global sales leaders to make better business decisions and will work closely with them to evaluate, plan, execute and measure strategic business initiatives. Given the strategic and operational nature of the role, the director will work closely with the Global Sales Leaders, VP of Sales Operations, CRO, CFO, CEO and other members of the executive team.

This position requires a driven self-starter who is able to work with senior leadership comfortably, takes tasks from start to finish and someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, challenging environment.

Responsibilities

  • Enabling executives and global sales leaders to make better business decisions and will work closely with them to evaluate, plan, execute and measure strategic business initiatives
  • Identify levers for driving revenue growth and sales efficiency
  • Conduct detailed analysis of sales productivity
  • Analyze current channel and vertical performance
  • Manage customer and market penetration data analysis
  • Support sales forecasting and planning processes
  • Focus on process and continuous improvement of core projects through automation and process enhancement
  • Project manage the development of centralized tools that MongoDB executives and sales management can use to extract data / insights for daily business management in an automated manner
  • Complete projects that require data mining, analysis and presentation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an analytical field (e.g. Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance). MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 4 years post-collegiate work experience in a quantitative role. Strategy consulting background is a plus
  • Experience or interest in enterprise sale and go-to-market strategic planning a plus
  • Proven ability to be a team member and work with executive management
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability with experience providing practical business insights from large, complex data sets
  • Excellent visual design sense regarding clear and accurate presentation of data
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to present technical content to general audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and drive initiatives in a cross-functional environment

Advanced Excel a must; Salesforce.com and business intelligence experience a plus
