Shipping/Receiving Specialist Responsibilities

  • Responsible for training of new hires and/or temporary Associates.
  • Owns execution of SOPs and holds Associates accountable; escalates discrepancies to Supervisor when necessary.
  • Owns the safety of the team, ensures that all Associates are in a safe working environment 100% of the time.
  • By owning the team’s quality standards, ensure that we send out a quality product to our
  • Assist Supervisor with development of the team and assist with training of critical roles.
  • Motivate and challenge the team to achieve and exceed daily performance goals
  • Engage and show respect to associates on a daily basis. Build team morale to drive productivity and quality standards. Ensure that Blue Apron is every Associate’s favorite place to work!

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of entry-level managerial leadership experience in a food production or warehouse environment.
  • Clear and concise communicator, verbal and written.
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Flexible availability; we work night and weekend shifts.
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and knowledge with WMS
  • Flexible availability; we work night and weekend shifts.
  • Work experience in food production or food manufacturing preferred.

Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 49 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be willing and able to work in a refrigerated environment (10°-40°)
  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be willing and able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach with or without reasonable accommodation
