This is a full-time on-site position in the Pioneer Square area of downtown Seattle, a technological and cultural hub of the pacific northwest.
Is your taskbar crowded with all kinds of digital art tools? Does your ideal day include a long list of unrelated content odd-jobs? Do you sometimes wish you could grow another head so that you might wear more hats? We need an experienced Senior Art Generalist to join our crack team of entertainment art industry veterans to help create visually stunning and performant VR experiences. This position can only be filled by a professional with a track record of handling all kinds of 3D art for use in realtime games / apps.
Model and texture high-resolution / game-resolution props and realistic human characters
Work with the Art Director to nail the visual style of the product’s virtual spaces
Discover, advocate and utilize technology that will improve art production quality and efficiency for VR experiences
Work with our Senior Environment and Character Artists to make art look great in context, in-engine
Actively participate in technical and aesthetic problem solving during prototyping, bug-fixing and polish
Work closely with development team to ensure Art delivers from concept to launch and beyond
Clean up and manage art created by external artists
An exceptional demo reel or portfolio showing:
Photo-real hard-surface, organic and character models
Photo-real surfacing and textures
Extremely efficient game-resolution models and LODs with clean topology
Smart UV packs with perfect normal bakes
Robust quantity and variety of content in shipped realtime 3D products
Game or VR / AR development experience as an artist creating AAA-quality assets
Strong knowledge of cutting-edge visual technologies for games, including PBR workflows
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent team player with very strong work ethic and a collaborative/cooperative attitude
Proficient with other game art content skills such as lighting and shaders, VFX art or UI art
Mastery of Unreal 4, 3D Studio Max and Git as part of a daily workflow
Passionate about Sports and VR consumer entertainment
University or equivalent art-related degree
