Mobile QA

Peak is looking for a Mobile QA with experience in manually testing native iOS and Android apps. You will be involved in test planning and execution, and your input will influence our product development, from the requirements gathering stage to deployment.

You will work within a collaborative team who are all dedicated to creating a world-class product and user experience. You will have a passion for mobile apps are a QA tester looking to grow into a manager position in a short period of time. Interest in automation would be a plus.

Launched in 2014, Peak is a brain training app developed with the help of neuroscientists that offers fun and challenging games to help improve and assess cognitive skills. Peak is based in central London and was founded by entrepreneurs from Google, Amazon, Playfish/EA and academia with a mission to revolutionise education through mobile, games and science.

We were named one of the “Best Apps Of the Year” by Apple in 24 countries and we’re a Google Play “Editors’ Choice” App. We recently raised $10 million in VC funding, in part from Spotify-backers Creandum, and currently have millions of users around the world playing our games.


  • Develop, document, and implement QA processes and procedures to provide effective quality control.
  • Create, implement, maintain, and enhance test plans, test scripts, and test methodologies that ensure exhaustive testing of all assigned software systems and ensure compliance with software/system specification/regulation.
  • Collaborate with developers to improve overall product quality by emphasising defect prevention throughout the development process.
  • You will learn to use Calabash and maintain and improve existing test, as well as writing new ones for new features


  • Experience in mobile native apps testing
  • Skilled knowledge in software testing concepts, tools and methodologies
  • Understanding of modern QA processes and practices.
  • Experience with agile development tools.
  • Experience creating effective test plans and BDD test cases
  • Ability to adapt to new priorities and challenges and willing to learn new technology
  • Familiarity with MySQL databases and experience with examining log files for evidence.
  • Strong prioritisation skills, with the ability to gauge the relative significance of ‘bugs’
  • Eligible to work in the UK

  • Automated testing experience in mobile apps.
  • Knowledge of Cucumber and Ruby.
  • Experience with deployment using CI servers (e.g. Jenkins).
