As part of your position on LinkedIn’s Corporate Development and Strategy team, you will be a trusted advisor to our senior executives, and will help them make decisions about R&D investments, new market entries, business development and M&A opportunities, and other critical strategic issues. The team provides an ideal platform for someone interested in a career in consumer & enterprise technology and services, venture capital or startups. 

During your time with us, you'll take part in training, outings, all hands meetings, and community service events all designed to give you avenues in which to meet your peers, executives and to get a comprehensive view of LinkedIn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, understand, and structure complex business problems 

  • Deliver insightful analyses of market opportunities & drive high-level analyses of 
strategic opportunities for LinkedIn 

  • Assist in the identification, evaluation, negotiation and execution of strategic 
partnership, joint venture, business development and M&A opportunities 

  • Build effective relationships with colleagues from product, engineering and business 

 Basic Qualifications:

  • A student currently enrolled in an MBA program and returning for your final term or year following the summer internship.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent years of field related experience
  • Students must have the ability to participate in an 11-12 week summer internship program

 Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to formulate insights around complex business problems 

  • Exceptional ability to create structured quantitative and qualitative analyses 
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills & executive presence 

  • Strong personal initiative, excellent judgment and sense of humor 

  • Desire to succeed in a demanding, innovative, and entrepreneurial environment 

  • 4-5 years of pre-MBA experience at a top-tier management consulting, investment 
banking or private equity firm, and / or corporate strategy, corporate development or operating experience at a technology company (enterprise software, SaaS, consumer internet)
