Gift Entry Coordinator

New York Public Radio is seeking a professional Gift Entry Coordinator to support Development’s fundraising efforts through timely, accurate processing of member and donor pledges and payments. The Gift Entry Coordinator will report to the Director of Gift Processing.  The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Gift Processing Associate managing returned mail, processing in-house checks and assisting with the financial month close process.  

Must be well-organized, resourceful, detailed oriented, flexible and able to handle and prioritize tasks while maintaining department goals and deadlines.  


  • Month close process - reclassifying transactions between departments base on the constituents giving level.
  • Processing checks received in-house - including coding and logging deposit information in log before submitting to Sr. Gift Processing Officer for deposit.  
  • Accurately maintain monthly financial spreadsheet of revenue received.
  • Process Mail Returns - updating account information (name, address, email etc.) in database including contacting constituents via email.
  • Participate in data processing of pledges received during on-air membership drives and via online giving.


  • Bachelors Degree/Associates Degree or two years data entry experience - Required
  • Advanced knowledge of netFORUM or other fundraising software - required.
  • Keen attention to detail with strong commitment to accuracy and follow-through.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel – required
  • Effective oral and written communication skills – required
  • Experience in customer/member service – preferred
  • Ability to prioritize and handle several projects simultaneously – required
  • NYPR listener – preferred
