Electromechanical Technician

ELECTRO-MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Mechanical / electrical assembly of PCB assemblies into product chassis
  • Building of small electrical sub-assemblies
  • Building up battery cell modules
  • Building and test of wire harnessing
  • Soldering and desoldering of through hole and SMT components down to at least 0201. 01005 preferred.
  • Running functional tests

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must have high school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience using mechanical hand tools
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with soldering tools

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Current or past certification for NASA-STD-8739.3, IPC-610 or equivalent
  • Experience preferred in fast-paced production environment with flight hardware
  • Able to adapt to constant changing work assignments and fast paced work environment
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and teamwork skills
  • Excellent concentration and attention to detail with outstanding work efficiency and accuracy
  • Read schematics and understand circuits
  • Associate’s degree is preferred

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work all shifts and available for overtime and weekends as needed
  • Standing for long periods of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching may be required to perform the functions of this position
  • Must be able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted
