Job Description:

Career Directors are technical recruiters who want to do more than "just recruit".  This role is 33% employee engagement, 33% "coaching and mentoring" and 33% placing people in jobs.

Career Directors will build our employer network in a specific location for a University, keep employers highly engaged in the program; and then match students to employers for hiring purposes. Career Directors teach our Career Curriculum as well as act as a coach and mentor to students, helping them shape their social media profiles (Github, LinkedIn, etc) and resumes to ensure placement. Career Directors will work on interview skills, hold weekly 1:1s, provide tools for tracking jobs, and will ensure students feel 100% confident and supported as they impart on their career journey.

Job Details:

Trilogy will place 90%+ of the university students into jobs post our course. In order to do this, Trilogy needs the following:

  • A network of employers invested in our program’s growth and success 
  • A career director who can deliver a curriculum around “how to get a job in the tech space” 
  • A friend and mentor who can provide direction while students are going through the interview process.

On the employer side our Career Directors play the following roles:

  • Matchmaker - a free resource who will match University graduates with specific needs. You will consult for specific employers, matching their needs with graduates of our programs 
  • Engagement Driver - the more engaged our employer network is, the higher the likelihood they will hire. Each employer will be calendared in multiple engagement activities and commitments per year. 
  • B2B Marketing and Communications

For students, our Career Directors act as…

  • A teacher and mentor to our students, training them to hack the job search process, communicate selling points, negotiate salary, and more. 
  • Scrum Master and Coach in their job search process, enabling them to obtain positions they would not have been able to achieve otherwise.

What we’d require from you:

  • 2+ years demonstrated experience maintaining an appropriate number of employed graduates to maintain placement goals.
  • Prior technical recruitment experience and credibility to “obtain” and “succeed” in high-volume technical environment.
  • Experience networking and building relationships with employers in the market.
  • Excellent communication skills in order to maintain relationships with students and employers.
  • Good organizational and technology skills; previous experience with social media and job boards is a plus.
  • Sales background or related industry experience is a plus. 
  • Previous experience organizing and hosting career events such as mock interviews, employer luncheons, career fairs, etc.
