At Granular, we’re transforming the $3 trillion agriculture industry. Our typical customer is a multi-generational, large family farm looking for cloud software to help them get more done, make the right calls and strengthen their network. We collaborate closely with customers and industry experts to guide our efforts and build domain knowledge. We’ve had an exciting two years of building product and growing our customer base (we have customers in over 30 states), but we need help continuing to tackle it all.

We closed our Series B funding from Tao Capital last year, and are also funded by Andreessen, Google Ventures and Khosla Ventures.

Role

You will be an early member of our product management team with opportunity for huge impact on the product and company. We are aiming to be the first modern vertical SaaS company for ag: This means you will be expected to first-hand customer research and develop V1 features.  

The scope of the role is broad: you will be expected to interact with our customers and develop our product roadmap and strategy, as well as get into the details and work with engineering and design in San Francisco to ship operational and business tools for farms. We have a web app as well as an iOS and Android app, and you will have a chance to work across multiple platforms.

Prior ag experience is not required but definitely an added bonus.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize customer needs and develop roadmap to deliver on meeting customer expectations
  • Own the product lifecycle from requirements gathering through production and release
  • Research and map complex workflows into systematic concepts frameworks   
  • Build products that deliver great customer experiences
  • Conduct on-farm research to identify how software tools can improve a farmer’s ability to navigate fast-changing weather, labor, market, traceability requirements and environmental and market conditions
  • Work closely with the design, data science and engineering teams, collaborating on deliverables
  • Think analytically about how to measure success

About You

  • 3+ years managing the end-to-end product lifecycle for consumer or enterprise offerings
  • Experience performing product research user interviews and competitive assessments
  • Excellent communication skills; can seamlessly switch from conversations with farmers to conversations with engineers; speaking in the language of each
  • A knack for taking complex workflow requirements and distilling into simple ideas
  • Ability to analyze critical data around product performance
  • A passion to make a difference
  • Experience developing ERP or financial software is a plus
  • Familiarity with ag is a plus
