Technology is the cornerstone of our organization, vital to our continued success and future growth. We’re looking for an experienced, passionate and dedicated Director of IT to join Index Exchange. As the Director of IT you will oversee and take an active part in all aspects of technical operations including leading a team of IT Engineers supporting 300 end users as well as the systems and hardware they depend on. Part of your role will include introducing new processes and efficiencies while we continue to expand but also to work within existing frameworks and expectations. We want someone who can help us grow to the next level and scale our resources and approaches accordingly.
Things move very quickly at Index and in our industry and it’s incumbent that the Director of IT can anticipate changes and make proactive decisions for the betterment of the company. Working with the VP of IT and leaders of other key departments you’ll play a huge role in ensuring we have the necessary hardware, software, tools and configurations to do our jobs as smoothly as possible. You’ll be responsible for a sizeable budget and management of existing relationships but you’ll also form new arrangements with vendors and partners worldwide in order to deliver the best possible IT experience for Index and its employees. Your main base will be at our Toronto Engineering office but you’ll also travel occasionally to our other offices throughout Canada, the United States and Europe.
