Territory Sales & Event Rep- Job Description

In this critical role, our Sales & Events Tech will be the face of the brand with our retailer community in their region. Their goal is to create meaningful partnerships with key BBQ Destination retailers, while supporting/defending all our distribution in their territory.  A successful hire will use tool kits and in house resources to conduct retailer-training, demos, merchandising of shops, enlisting shop owners, buyers, staff and consumers into the Traeger Nation. They will look at existing distribution to see where we can edit the non-BBQ retailers to be able to amplify the best BBQ destination retailers. Weekend and event activation, driving loops around the territory as directed, with nights away from home in hotels, will be critical during key times of the year.



  • Service/visit existing Distribution Doors
  • Create Target List of regional doors we want to open or reopen
  • Drive overall Territory Sell Through
  • Administer in-store training and certification 
  • Coordinate team around key sales and events so we are grilling for top doors and influential doors (which is also a chance to train staff)
  • Create 1-2 events per QTR where you or your TM are grilling at a non-dealer consumer event while working to drive consumers to local dealers
  • Use tool kits to build out our in-store POP, windows, displays and accessories
  • Understanding our Omni Channel approach so you can be transparent to our dealers and how we can be meaningful to their business
  • Perform a Monthly Competitor Analysis


A successful Territory Sales & Event Rep will be energetic and engaging in creating a friendly atmosphere and sales experience for each of our customers. 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 1 or more years of B2B or B2C sales experience
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Ipads, etc.
  • Ability to travel and work independently from the road
  • Time management skills necessary
  • Ability to track on hand inventory, sell through, and apply strategy needed to drive partnerships
  • Ability to understand and learn complex distribution and channel strategies
  • Engaging personality with the ability to create relationships with key dealers as well as with the Traeger team
  • A willingness to share your passion for BBQ and our products
