You are known for excellent execution and steady leadership.  You excel in interpersonal and interdepartmental communication. You consistently go above and beyond the call of duty.  Your operations management skills are exceptional and you punch above your weight in managerial skill, professionalism and strategic savvy.  You are an experienced manager with a demonstrated track record of outstanding team, operations and process management.  You have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience.    

 

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • You will balance execution, process improvements and impeccable customer service as car sales volume increases.
  • You will lead the launch or expansion of a Carvana vending machine in your market.
  • You will keep every detail of your market operating like a well-oiled machine, but also take the time to think through strategy and process from a 30,000 ft. view and make the necessary improvements to fuel future growth.
  • You will track and be held accountable to operating metrics. When things don’t look right, you’ll notice and find out why.
  • You will lead the team in your area and support other markets as needed.
  • You will help select, onboard and train a team of Customer Advocates. You will give them the tools, resources and guidance they need to be successful. Employee development will be an essential part of your role.
  • You will be responsible for interviewing Customer Advocates and Lot Attendants for your market and will assist with interviewing candidates for other markets.
  • You will coordinate efforts with our inside advocate team, PDI team, logistics team, marketing team, Market Operations Managers, other General Managers and with people in roles that don’t even exist yet.
  • You will manage local marketing activations and random acts of Carvana.
  • You will infuse your market with the culture and standards that make the Carvana employee and customer experience exceptional.
  • You will be a Carvana ambassador to local political and community organizations.
  • You will uphold our brand and values in everything you do.

WHAT COMES NEXT

There will be opportunities. For high performing General Managers with an aptitude for and interest in peer leadership, there may be Regional Manager opportunities. There will likely be additional roles both in supporting divisions and field operations. There will be roles available that we aren’t aware of today.

In order to be considered for any of these roles you must first absolutely and consistently crush the General Manager role. If that happens and one of the roles pops open, we should talk.
