Indirect Tax Analyst

About the Role: 

We are looking for an Indirect Tax Analyst to support with Indirect Tax reporting across the business. You will work directly with the Indirect Tax Supervisor to oversee the monthly and quarterly filing process. You will ensure that filings are made on time and that submissions are legally compliant with local Tax laws. You will balance multiple priorities and will interact with various operating groups within the organization including finance, treasury and commercial. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, has strong analytical skills, resourceful and eager to dive into the data to drive results.


  • Assist in the management of Indirect Tax compliance reporting across all WeWork GST/VAT applicable countries
  • Aggregate invoices from WeWork’s internal system and review them for Indirect Tax compliance against country specific matrices
  • Assist with information requests during Indirect Tax Audits
  • Carry out monthly analysis and reconciliation of the Indirect Accounts in Workday
  • Drive continuous improvements in the Indirect Tax return compliance process, through improving systems data and creating streamlined processes
  • Manage the Activities Tracker to ensure multiple work streams are moving forward according to the changing priorities
  • Work closely with the AP team to ensure Indirect Tax compliant documents are being received from suppliers
  • Assist with developing training material to be deployed to key functions within the business
  • Liaise with third party advisors, as required, who may assist in managing all or some of the above


  • BA/BS degree; major in finance, accounting, and/or economics preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in finance and/or accounting
  • Indirect Tax experience is desirable
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communicator and collaborator
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated and willing to take on multiple responsibilities at once
  • Able to work comfortably under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Knowledge of Workday is a plus
