Hero is Customer Experience company. We focus on the digital customer experience for major brands such as Apple, Intel, Sephora and Belkin. As marketers shift their spending from ads to experiences, we believe that they need a service provider to combine strategy, design, engineering, data, and marketing services to deliver a high quality and connected end user journey. Much of our work is tied to the leading technology platforms in the marketplace today, including Adobe, Sitecore, Acquia, and Salesforce. The firm was founded in 2014 and has grown rapidly, experiencing 130% year over year growth since inception. At the time of writing Hero is a team of 100 professionals working in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland, New York, and Boston.
To date, Hero has grown via the professional networks of the firm’s leadership team, including direct-to-client relationships and technology channel partner relationships. With an accomplished senior team in place as well as a solid portfolio of client work, we are now seeking to build brand awareness in the marketplace and to drive significant growth via inbound business.
Hero seeks a dedicated Marketing professional as a new role to drive awareness of the company’s brand, with a primary focus in North America. This a greenfield function where much needs to be built from the ground up.
The Director of Marketing, reporting to Hero’s CEO, will be both a builder and a do-er. He or she will be a motivated, senior marketing professional who has experience at a services firm, having worked at a digital agency, marketing agency, PR agency, advertising agency, or systems integrator. Ideally, she will bring prior success building a challenger brand that has significant momentum, talent, and raw materials waiting to be unlocked. The successful candidate will also bring the strategic ideas necessary to differentiate Hero to senior buyers (C-suite, and senior-level digital, marketing, and IT professionals) within an increasingly crowded marketplace. Existing media relationships, and experience working within platform ecosystems are significant advantages.
This is a ground floor opportunity. The successful candidate will be chartered to build a brand with a substantial market presence in an emerging space. The raw materials, the management focus, and the financial backing are all in place to fully support a leader driving towards this result.
