Project Manager, Custom Products

Massdrop Custom Products is a small, fast-moving team dedicated to fundamentally changing the way enthusiast communities buy and interact online. We’re looking for team players with natural product intuition who can work harder, faster, and smarter without sacrificing excellence. Our Project Manager will be responsible for tracking the status of upcoming projects and supporting the Business Operations Manager with improving department and company workflows. This individual will report to the Business Operations Manager and work with the Custom Product Managers to help organize our pipeline of custom products.


Ensure effective and accurate communication of Custom Product status in all stages of the their lifecycle

  • Provide accurate and up-­to-­date reports to key stakeholders and establish cadence for reports
  • Identify project blockers and risks, provide mitigation options and drive process to resolve these issues
  • Manage project tasks, deadlines, and details
  • Act as key point of contact between Custom Products and internal teams

Define and improve workflow for Custom Products ­from product concept and design through to production to final drop. Collaborate with teams to execute launch process and optimize on an ongoing basis.

  • Own and drive several projects in various phases of project lifecycle
  • Partner with Product, Creative, Logistics, Commerce, and Community teams to continually improve custom product development and launch process
  • Coordinate and manage relationships with internal partner teams and community members

Support for additional projects as needed:

  • Responsible for all aspects of project management - including planning, organizing, scheduling, and tracking projects
  • Manage deadlines for multiple projects


  • 5-7 years of Project Management experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, or Engineering with MBA preferred
  • Large Fortune 500 experience, start-up experience a plus
  • Project Management Professional certification or equivalent preferred
  • Proven experience working with cross-functional teams simultaneously
  • Ability to multi­task and manage priorities under demanding deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Self-starter with the ability to adapt quickly to new information, assess impact and take appropriate action
