Senior Program Manager, Digital Content Pipeline

SIE seeks a driven, ambitious, and energetic Sr. Program Manager to lead and drive the activities of a SAFe Agile Release Train as the Release Train Engineer.  The ideal candidate would be a change driver who can implement process improvements whilst being an outstanding communicator. They will collaborate with staff and management of multiple worldwide business units, and outside 3rd parties (including subject matter experts, design teams, and technology teams) to clearly identify, explain, and communicate their project involvement, project goals, expectations, and tasks.

The Sr. Program Manager will lead various programs on the Digital Content Pipeline platform.  They will partner with the worldwide Sony Engineering and Product Organization to lead, manage and drive forward the following global programs: Content Pipeline, Partner Experience & Onboarding and Vouchers.

The position is based in LA. The successful candidate must have the ability to travel both domestically and internationally. The responsibilities listed herein are not all inclusive and additional duties may be assigned.

Program Management Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with SIE staff and management to clearly identify, organize, and communicate Digital Content Pipeline program goals, expectations, tasks, and roadmaps/timelines
  • Helps manage risks and dependencies
  • Manages impediments and appropriately escalates for resolution as needed
  • Constantly inspect the process, discover and address the major concerns
  • Own project schedules, task assignments, and managing schedule progress - from large phases through to detailed tasks, including understanding and managing dependencies of the content pipeline from
  • Provide effective communication and status reporting for executives and stakeholders
  • Establish release schedule working with Product Management, Product Owners and stakeholders

RTE Responsibilities:

  • Aggregate team objectives into Program PI Objectives
  • Facilitates the creation of the product and release backlogs
  • Facilitates PI planning events
  • Facilitates PI planning readiness
  • Facilitates PO Sync and Scrum of Scrums
  • Drive program level continuous improvement via retrospectives, Inspect and Adapt workshops and constant demonstration of Kaizen

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree required
  • 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree
  • 6 years of related experience with a Master’s degree
  • 3 years of related experience with PhD
  • Special dispensation for candidates with 3+ years of experience within a SAFe environment and in digital content pipeline for streaming, gaming, music, digital media, and network service industry
  • SAFe Certification (SAFe Practitioner, SAFe Agilist and/or SAFe Program Consultant) extremely helpful
  • Requires solid understanding of software lifecycle and release processes
  • Proficiency with collaboration tools such as Rally, Slack, Trello, Jira/Confluence
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of internal and external stakeholders
  • Motivated, organized self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively to solve routine and complex problems effectively
  • Leader of cross-functional teams
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally
