Senior Marketing Business Developer

Madrid, Spain

You will join the Marketing team of TheFork whose role is to acquire new clients, generate booking and increase the brand perception in Spain.

Being in charge of TheFork Marketing Business Development activities in Spain, Portugal and Brasil your main responsibilities will be: closing and managing Partnerships with Spanish national players (e.g., Iberia, Vueling, Renfe…), and adapting paid acquisition channels strategies and operations to the local market.

Partnerships/ Marketing Business development:

  • Source and negotiate partnerships with national players (e.g., Iberia, Vueling…) to maximize TheFork visibility, acquire new clients and generate bookings
    • Key aspect of the negotiation would be: marketing plan design, revenue sharing, type of integration proposed

  • Implement such partnerships by guiding partners through the operational path and accompany them through it.
  • Accountable for local partnerships performance optimization & results analysis (e.g., bookings, media impact measured by the number of press clippings)
  • You will have at your disposal a strong brand, some integration tools (e.g., widgets API, feeds), some standards partnerships contracts, etcetera, that you will need to leverage to attain those goals.
  • You will pay specific attention to your partner’s commitments in terms of marketing execution (press releases, media campaigns and brand visibility) and results observed on our platforms (e.g., traffic and bookings monitoring)
  • You will work with the local PR and Social media teams to relay partnerships
  • You will work tightly with the central marketing team who will guide you on the technical tools you can use, and will work with them on any specific product developments or non-standard legal clauses
  • Performance (SEM, Facebook, Affiliation and others): Liaise with central team for the optimization and adaptation of the campaigns to local specificities

  • Traffic qualification:
    • Send top list of restaurants with ratings based on at least reviews
    • Analyse list of restaurants displayed on SEM campaign to identify missed opportunities or things to do
    • Notify SEM team of bad press ongoing for specific topics
    • Explain why top restaurants may not be performing well on SEM
    • Exclude non-relevant keywords from campaigns called "negative keywords"
    • Ensure local selections are promoted in SEM campaigns

    • Provide feedback on budget allocation and necessary pushes based on local animation program
    • Review & feedback of action plan proposed by central team

    Also, you will take part of new business team with the goal to develop new opportunities, taking an active role in it.

    This position is located in Madrid.

  • Have from 5 to 10 years’ experience in these areas.
  • Business development or project management experience is valuable
  • Understanding of acquisition campaign mechanisms (e.g., SEM, Facebook)
  • Understanding of technical complexities (e.g., understanding of technical constraints, ability to think of alternative solutions)
  • Experience and/or knowledge in Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics (Omniture)
  • An ability to negotiate and pave it’s way among complex organizations (big companies, specific profiles)
  • A strong project management experience
  • Negotiation skills
  • A high level of drive
  • An understanding of technical constraints (you cannot promise too much if it’s too complex / too long to implement)
  • Strong goals orientation and objectives driven profile
  • Bachelor’s degree on Marketing or Business Administration or other relevant area
  • High level of personal drive, self-motivated and passionate
  • Complemented by strong analytical skills
  • Very organized person
