Role Overview

This individual will be responsible for delivering training to all company employees including new employee orientation, role specific general training and ongoing continuing education needs of the iboss team.  The trainer will be provided with training content but they will eventually be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of the training, training delivery method, tools and other variables to continue to analyze and provide recommendations to enhance and improve the learning experience. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with managers to determine training needs and schedule training sessions
  • Deliver training programs for all new employees and also deliver role specific sales, marketing and other entry level and continuing functional role training
  • Review and evolve training to utilize the most appropriate training methods per case (simulations, mentoring, on the job training, professional development classes, etc)
  • Design effective training programs
  • Conduct seminars, workshops, individual training sessions etc.
  • Ability to prepare educational material such as module summaries, videos etc.
  • Conduct evaluations to identify areas of improvement
  • Monitor employee performance and response to training
  • Use accepted education principles and track new training methods and techniques
  • Design and prepare educational aids and materials
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with matter experts regarding instructional design
  • Maintain updated curriculum database and training records
  • Provide train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matter experts
  • Manage and maintain in-house training facilities and equipment

 

Requirements

  • Proven experience as company educational trainer
  • Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools
  • Willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in corporate teaching
  • Proficient in MS Office (esp. Powerpoint) and other proprietary systems
  • Exceptional communication, presentation and public speaking skills
  • Organizational and time management abilities
  • Critical thinking and decision making
  • BSc/BA in business, HR, finance or relevant field
  • Certification (e.g. CPLP) is a plus
