Sales Operations Sr. Analyst

As a Senior Analyst in Sales Ops at Segment, you will be impacting the productivity and effectiveness of Segment’s sales organization. Reporting to the VP Finance & Operations and collaborating with the VP Sales and VP Marketing, you will be an integral leader on the team and will be working side by side with our Biz Ops, Analytics, and Finance teams to have the support and collaboration you will need to be successful in this role.
In addition to driving the success of our Sales organization, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement key sales processes and tools. You will continue to shape how Segment measures sales team performance, forecasting, pipeline management, and other key account metrics to drive success within our Sales team.

What will you be doing?

  1. Help drive the global sales business plan
  2. Mentor other members of the Sales Ops team
  3. Manage Sales Enablement, working cross-functionally with Product Marketing
  4. Provide thought leadership, business analysis, and real-time execution on strategic initiatives to drive the top-line      
  5. Proactively identify, resolve, or partner with others to anticipate and get ahead of potential challenges before they escalate
  6. Own sales forecasting and pipeline management
  7. Ensure productive/efficient sales processes within Salesforce; ensure data integrity and cleanliness of database across all teams
  8. Facilitate the annual planning, territories, and quota allocation process
  9. Assist VPs with the QBR presentation and ensure they fully understand the content and provide guidance and orientation by identifying key points of attention
  10. Support the annual compensation plan distribution to ensure that correct plan types are allocated to the sales employees
  11. Develop and implement comprehensive models and reporting tools

  3. You love data and are strong at identifying trends, opportunities, and threats by interpreting numbers into action items
  4. You can crunch the numbers and articulate the key takeaways in an executive summary, superb at both conceptual modeling and spreadsheets
  5. Results-oriented with strong decision making skills and the ability to prioritize multiple objectives while meeting aggressive deadlines
  6. You lead by example for your team
  7. Process oriented, but flexible
  8. You understand and can see the bigger picture while being able to do a deep dive into the details
  9. Must have a sense of urgency and a bias to action
  10. Excellent executive presence, ability to influence at all levels at Segment
  11. Incredibly organized with excellent planning and project management skills – ability to look ahead to meet regular deadlines and predict and prevent last minute fire drills
