Engineering Program Manager

Location: San Francisco, CA (SoMa)

Our PlayStation Cloud Services engineering group is looking for a top notch technical engineering program manager that will manage AWS cloud automation projects using Agile/Kanban methodologies. You will be working with highly passionate driven individuals that are working on delivering immersive experiences on PlayStation gaming console.

This person will manage technical projects/products including sprint goals and risks, as well as collect new cloud build-outs requirements based on quarterly external software engineering planning events. They will need to effectively cultivate relationships across departments/groups in order to fully understand organizational needs, while translating end user requirements to epics and user stories.

The top candidate is able to organize, groom and prioritize sprint backlog to align with program backlog and manage inter-dependencies with other teams, negotiate and reprioritize tasks as necessary. They will accept or reject work based on defined acceptance criteria, and provide consistent program status communications.


  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related field, training and/or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years full SDLC product management/ownership experience; 3+ years software development or software testing experience
  • Possess strong analytical skills and understanding of web hosting, general infrastructural technologies and platform space
  • Experience using multiple SDLC approaches (Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall); excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multitudes of consumer-facing events/activities.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels, the role will require the ability to communicate effectively with his/her team, a peer network of stakeholders, senior executives, technical resources as well as staff in other locations

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Product Owner
  • Certified Scrum Master; PMP certification
  • Agile tools / Portfolio Management (JIRA, Rally, etc.)
  • Understanding of Cloud computing concepts and best practices
  • Commerce and Social technology experience is preferred
