You’ll be trained in all aspects of our business development process and work side by side with our team to bring our inside expertise outside –to the people, companies and organizations who can benefit from it most. Success is a robust cycle of engaging with the GAIN community, sharing knowledge and expertise and turning relationships into new business.
Engaging with the GAIN community: sourcing and attending events to build our presence and expand our network of relationships Sharing knowledge from across our team with new and existing clients via our blog, social media, presentations and conferences Reaching out to prospective clients and connectors by email, phone, social media and in-person to make new connections and build strong relationships Responding to new business opportunities by diagnosing needs, qualifying engagements, estimating, writing and presenting proposals Setting goals with leadership and working toward those goals weekly, monthly and quarterly with a responsive, consistent and systematic workflow Tracking key metrics across the business development lifecycle Strategizing with the delivery team on ways to continuously improve the alignment of market needs with our expertise and offering Building your own and our team’s knowledge, expertise and awareness of key issues in the Government, Academia, Infrastructure and Nonprofit sectors
Skills & Experience
Interest in using design and technology to drive social change and improve everyday life1-3 years of experience in a creative agency or GAIN sector organization, this is a junior to mid-level positionStrong presentation, oral and written communication skillsAbility to develop an understanding of client context, challenges and opportunities through active listening, questions and researchA passion for people, social environments and building new relationships
