Sr. Software Engineer - Rapid Prototyping

The Sr. Software Engineer will work on a small, collaborative team dedicated to exploring new concepts and technologies. This person will have excellent design skills as well as in-depth coding experience.  The ideal candidate will be flexible and agile and able to engage in development at multiple levels of the user experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Quickly develop working prototypes and concept renderings often based on abstract requirements.
  • Collaborate with team members and business stakeholders to explore and evaluate technologies and develop product ideas.
  • Work independently to execute on a set of deliverables.
  • Evaluate, assess, and learn new technologies.
  • Apply exceptional analytical and technical problem solving skills.
  • Provide mentoring to other team members. 
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and 10+ years relevant software engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in two or more of the following or similar languages (C/C++, Python, C#, Java, Javascript).
  • Demonstrated expertise in UI/UX design.
  • Demonstrated use of graphic design programs and visual asset creation.
  • Demonstrated track record of ramping up in complex technical domains.
  • Experience communicating with users, other technical teams, and senior management to collect requirements, describe features, requirements, technical designs, and product strategy.
  • Motivated self-starter who is highly results driven, takes enormous pride in work & demonstrates a high degree of enthusiasm for engineering excellence & ongoing self-development.
  • Gaming or other interactive media experience development a plus.
  • Experience with home automation and/or other types of control systems a plus.
