In this role you'll be working on a team designing and building the next innovations that will delight millions of listeners. You'll interact regularly with senior leadership to directly guide and shape Pandora's efforts in user growth and retention. Everyday we are running dozens of experiments on our A/B platform. You’ll be the one leading the science behind our user experiments, helping senior leadership to make informed decisions about current and new product features. You’ll research the best metrics to measure user engagement and retention, and develop statistical methods to improve our current decision-making processes
Successful candidates will have significant experience with experimental design and statistical inference, solid programming skills, outstanding communication skills, demonstrated ability to work effectively in a small team, and a desire to work at Pandora HQ in Oakland, CA.
• PhD degree in quantitative field such as statistics
• Minimum 3 years of industry experience
• Strong background in statistics and/or machine learning
• Experience with A/B testing, experimental design and statistical inference
• Experience with R, Python
• Experience with Hive or SQL databases
• Experience with the Hadoop technology stack
• Experience with Spark and Scala
