We are looking for a Data / Backend Engineering Manager (Chapter Lead) to join the User Engagement mission in New York. Our organization strives to make every user session amazing through personalization and discovery. In this role, you’ll work primarily with our squads based in New York who are focused on recommendations and personalized features (e.g. Discover Weekly, Release Radar and Home), notifications and programming analytics.
Your primary responsibility will be to the people on your team: supporting growth of engineers, doing valuable work and generally having a great time making Spotify a great music experience for users. You will ensure our teams have strong and scalable data processing capabilities. As a leader in this consumer-centric part of the organisation, you will keep the focus on providing value to end users by encouraging and supporting a development process based on AB testing, fast iteration, analytics and user research.
